Superbon returned for a long awaited rematch at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Bangkok to face Armenian powerhouse Marat Gregorian. The ONE Friday Fights 58 event was the headliner. The winner of the fight would be crowned the interim ONE featherweight world champion and set up a title-unification match with the undisputed king Chingiz Allazov.
Grigorian tried to apply pressure early on the Thai and delivered a barrage of strikes at the end of the first round. This included a few solid uppercuts which connected cleanly. Grigorian aimed to maintain the pressure on Superbon, who delivered a number of body kicks with the hope of stopping him from advancing.
Grigorian did not back down despite receiving a serious beating to his midsection. In the fourth round, Superbon was beginning to show signs that he was tired.
The fight was tied in the fifth round and both fighters used their gas to attack each other with brutal blows. Before the final bell, they had ended another classic battle between two of pound-for pound the best kickboxers of the world.
