Tom Aspinall defends interim title in rematch fight against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304

Interim heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall is slated to return at UFC 304 in a co-main event clash against former-foe, Curtis Blaydes – in search of a defense of his interim throne. The event is scheduled to take place from the Co-op Live stadium in Manchester, England on July 27.

Aspinall is the current interim heavyweight champ. He has been on the sidelines since he won divisional spoils in UFC 295 in November last year. Sergei Pavlovich, a Russian competitor, was knocked out in his opening round at Madison Square Garden, New York.

Blaydes was the perennial heavyweight contender. The current number four-rated heavyweight challenged won in an impressive second-round KO over the highly touted Jailton Almeida in March at UFC 299. This gave the Brazilian his very first promotional defeat.
