“Platinum” Mike Perry faced former UFC lightweight champion and former two-time Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in the main event of December’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 56 event.
Perry made Alvarez stay in his corner during the third round, as the symbolic “King of Violence” championship was at stake.
Alvarez threw Perry off balance in the first round with his right hand. Perry had trouble with his right cross and jab, but that would all change in the next round. Both men traded heavy blows in the second frame. Perry relentlessly pressurized Alvarez. Both men connected cleanly. Alvarez announced to his corner that he couldn’t see at the conclusion of round two. I can’t. Alvarez’s corner asked him to stop fighting and he repeated that he could not see. The corner stopped the fight immediately.
Perry faces Thiago Alves in the main event of Bare Knuckle Mania IV on Saturday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
