UFC 299 Bonuses: Sean O'Malley cashes in with main event win

Dana White, CEO of UFC, announced the bonus winners at the UFC’s post-fight conference on Saturday, following the UFC 299 fights in Miami, Fla.

Sean O’Malley and Dustin Poirier each won an additional $50,000. Benoit Saint-Denis, Jack Dela Maddalena Curt Blaydes Robelis despaigne also received an additional $50,000.  

Dustin and Benoit: “Fight of the Night”.  O’Malley won the Performance of The Night award, and White said that he had given $50,000 to all those who came in with a great finish.

Fight of the Night 

The co-main event was the winner of the Fight of the Night award.  Benoit St Denis, the rising lightweight contender, faced Dustin Poirier.  After being injured in the opening rounds, Poirier ended Saint Denis’s fight midway through round two.  

Performance of the Night

Sean O’Malley won the UFC’s 299 main-event bantamweight championship with a dominant victory over Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera. 

O’Malley displayed a masterclass of footwork and striking on his way towards a unanimous, one-sided decision.  Vera was battered by “Sugar”, who landed more than twice the number of strikes.    

Performance of the Night

Welterweight Jack Della Maddalena picked up the biggest win of his career on the UFC 299 main card.  He came from behind to finish fourth-ranked Gilbert…
