Sean Strickland, despite his controversial and bold statements that often rub some people the wrong way, is considered a “people’s champ” by many. At the UFC press conference for UFC 293, his fan-favorite characteristics were in full view.

He has done well to stay composed and focused on his task despite the fact that he is up against a number of hungry competitors. He will be put to the test at UFC 297, when he faces the hard-hitting Dricus Plessis.

Sean Strickland did not take long to get the audience pumped during his press conference today. Strickland discredited Georges St-Pierre, and other champions, to make his point. He declared himself the voice of people.

Let me tell you something. “This is what the media don’t get when it comes down to me, you guys, and Australian fans.”
