An eye-catching featherweight showdown between the surging #4 ranked contender, Leah ‘The Curse’ McCourt, and one-time title challenger, the #5 ranked challenger, Sinead ‘KO’ Kavanagh is currently in the works to feature at Bellator Dublin on February 25. The 3Arena is located in Dublin, Ireland.
McCourt is undefeated after six straight wins. She will try to improve on her 7-1 professional record by beating Kavanagh. Her most recent victory was a unanimous verdict over Jessica Borga at Bellator 267, in London, England.
Kavanagh has been a staple of SBG Ireland for many years. She is an Inchicore native who entered her fight with McCourt on the back end of a featherweight challenge against Cris CYborg, former UFC, Invicta FC and Strikeforce champion. Kavanagh lost in the Bellator 271 event in Florida last month. She was knocked out by the bellator’s first round. McCourt is 29 years old and has a 5-0 record in five Bellator fights. She also competed twice in Cage Warriors under Scott Coker, but lost her first professional bout in the second-round knockout to Rizian.
