Jon Anik contemplating leaving UFC over social media attacks: 'I've had it'


Jon Anik has expressed his desire to leave the UFC after online attacks against him following the UFC297 main event.  

Dricus Du Plessis captured the UFC middleweight title by defeating Sean Strickland in the UFC 297 main event on Jan. 20 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.  As with any close fight, different people scored it.  Du Plessis won the fight after Anik and Kenny Florian, former UFC fighter and podcast cohost, both scored it for Du Plessis.  

Anik’s YouTube channel and social media pages have been flooded with Strickland supporters attacking him over the decision.  Anik and Florian were not the only two who won the UFC 297 Main Event for Du Plessis.  Former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo did as well.  Former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker also scored the fight for Du Plessis, among others.  

Anik is considering leaving UFC after the online attacks.
