Ian Machado Garry: 'I'm going to make Geoff Neal quit'


Top 10 ranked welterweights, Geoff Neal and Ian Garry, clash on the UFC 298 main card on Feb. 17 in Anaheim, Calif., and Garry plans on making Neal quit.

Garry (13-0), if he wins his match against Neal (15-5), will be able to climb the 170-pound ranking.  Neal will be Garry’s highest ranked opponent in his four year mixed martial art career.

“What am I going to finish him with? I am going to make him quit,” Garry said in an Instagram post. “He’ll choose when he’s done. I’d like to kick him to the body and have him do that, when the dog’s sh*tting – the look when the dogs look at you, like, when they’re pooing, for protection. That’s what they do, right? Look at their owners when they’re pooing because that’s when they’re vulnerable for attack?”

Neal is currently ranked 8th in his division, while Garry occupies the 10th position.  Neal had been scheduled to fight Garry at UFC 292 but was forced to withdraw.  Garry faced Neil Magny instead and won 13 consecutive fights.
