Henry Cejudo makes bold prediction for 'clown' Sean O'Malley vs. Marlon Vera

Bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley headlines this weekend’s UFC 299 fight card in a rematch with Marlon “Chito” Vera.  O’Malley’s title will be defended for the first time.

Vera defeated O’Malley’s first fight at UFC 252 on August 20, 2020.  O’Malley’s sole career defeat.  He’ll have the opportunity to avenge that loss, but former two-division champion Henry Cejudo doesn’t think he will.  

“Sean O’Malley’s come a very long way.  What makes his striking so good?  It’s his movement,” Cejudo said on his YouTube channel.  “He will carry everything through his feints.  He’s really good at joking and making people pause, then freezing before he attacks.

It was super impressive how he moved and, of course, his striking.  His ability to create traps.  He will use his movements to get others to follow him so he can eventually start moving.  Now he uses his lateral movements to get people following to set the trap for him to eventually cha cha, to do his fake, to feint, and to go and catch you eventually with something large,” Cejudo said.
