Former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen had a teammate that once took winning at all costs to an insanely extreme level.  

With a UFC Vegas 89 flyweight bout ending in a disqualification after Igor Severino bit Andre Lima last week, biting was fresh on Sonnen’s mind.  In his response to Severino, Sonnen shared a story of a teammate who bit himself during a wrestling match. He blamed the incident on his opponent.

“I’ve seen many teeth marks in wrestling.  In wrestling, you cannot bite anyone.  In fact, if a referee does not see the bite marks, but you insist that a man bit you, they will immediately disqualify the guy.  It has become a little bit of a problem because a bite when I say it, and I think when your ears hear it, is defined specifically to somebody who intended to bite you,” Sonnen said on his YouTube channel.    

“In wrestling, this is not always true.  Cross-face is a wrestling technique.  “We have several things in wrestling that you could do, like bringing your arm across the face and into the mouth of the other guy,” Sonnen explained.  “And if…
