Floyd Mayweather to be sued for alleged assault on a restaurant in 2022

A Californian man has sued Floyd Mayweather for allegedly ordering a bodyguard in an incident that occurred nearly two year ago to assault him.

According to an article from TMZ, Mayweather is being sued by Eduardo Andres Torres Martinez of Los Angeles over an alleged incident that took place at the Yard House at L.A. Live located near Crypto.com Arena — formerly known as The Staples Center — on February 10, 2022.

The lawsuit claims that Martinez was filming ‘Money’ and his crew with a cellphone camera when the pugilist entered the restaurant. Martinez claims Mayweather spotted him filming with a cellphone camera and asked one of Mayweather’s bodyguards for assistance. The bodyguard then allegedly knocked Martinez down to the ground with an unspecified blow and began wrestling with him in an attempt to confiscate the cell phone, “Further injuries and damage,” according to an official complaint.

Martinez filed a complaint of battery soon after the incident. However, LAPD sources allegedly stated that Martinez did not file a report. TMZ The story was contradicted by a witness.
